I decided my outlines were a bit personal to post, but following your advice I did end up with what I consider to be a very poignant, powerful and relevant personal vision statement.
A purpose-driven and healthy life my child can be proud of; rich with freedom, family, love, technology and learning.
It just fell into place. Thanks Peter!

Edit: I have cut it down to its core elements: A purposeful life; rich with freedom, family, love, technology, and learning.

#B90X - DAY 61 - Amateur Habits VS Pro Habits
#17

Worth repeating, every day!

Great one!

I’ll write mine here, just because it’s good to write it out:
“To live a balanced, healthy, wealthy, and purpose driven life!”

#18

To be the minimalist millionaire that teaches psychological flexibility.
The millionaire part is why I’m here.
For anyone interested in minimalism the best book I’ve found to date is minimalist by Sam Siv

For anyone interested in Psychological Flexibility check out

#19

I value independence, funny moments in life, family and real friends. My purpose is to learn and implement systems that let me grow as a person who inspires family and friends, and that is happy with himself.

#20

I’ve been doing the B90X program daily and then I ran into this one which took me some time to really digest and meditate on.

Here’s mine: "To live with compassion and discipline empowering those around me with a sprinkle of fun along my life journey with God, family, and friends"

#21

To continue going beyond the norm and tackle challenges, to learn new and fascinating things everyday, meet new & fascinating people - expand my network, to set and reach new personal goals and push the limits of what is possible through constant good planning, hard work, determination. Basically to live a purposeful and meaningful life and dammit that’s what I’m going to do! :sunglasses::rocket::alien:

#22

Man, this is a hard one. This task is like the very definition of my shortcomings.
I recently read a book called “Notes From A Friend” by Anthony Robbins, and at the end it had a similar exercise like this one where you’re supposed to write down your goals. I have started on that one but not finished it yet. This type of exercise is one of the few things in life where I feel like no matter how much I would practice, I would still not be able to do it. People around me has always made it look easy defining what they feel and what they want out of life, but I would have a better chance trying to speak Greek.

This is definitely something that I need to think about a lot more over a long period of time. If I ever come to a conclusion I’ll try to remember to post it here.
An exercise that is equally important as it is difficult.

#23

Top things I value the most

  1. Love
  2. Positivity
  3. Discipline
  4. Family
  5. God

Spiritual goals: I want to become closer to God as time goes on. I want to be able to have a closer and tighter relationship with Him, to better understand Him so I can spread his glory to everyone else here on earth while I’m still here. I want people to know what an amazing great God He is! I want to become more in tune with His other creations, to better understand how the universe operates by flowing with it.

Family goals: I want to get my parents a house by the beach. Plain and simple, they’ve worked so hard and haven’t had the easiest life, and if I can have them not worry about money- it’d be amazing. I’d also like to have enough money to be able to pay for culinary school for my sister. I’d love to marry a beautiful, loving, faithful woman some day with whom I can raise responsible and loving kids who can benefit and contribute to the world in their own unique way.

Physical goals: At 5"8.5 I’d like to stay under 160 pounds. I’ll be getting back into kickboxing this Wednesday with some coworkers so that’ll be fun. I will want to continue to be flexible and well versed in martial arts so I can defend myself if need be. I want to be full of energy and ready to attack each day with a sharp focus. I don’t want to get tired until I die. I want to eat healthily to sustain that energy.

Career goals: I want to be respected amongst my peers and know that I’ve been able to contribute to the best of my ability. I want to be a man who creates value for others. Long-term I hope God grants me the wisdom to lead a group of supremely talented individuals to create something that will advance humanity- empower us to ask deeper questions about human progress, and to discover new amazing ideas and things in the universe!

Relationship goals: I want to be a loving man who is unwavering in his principles, but able to practice empathy with others. I want to be able to see things from the other perspective to enrich my understanding of people. I want to be someone who elevates others, who makes others feel happy, who makes people see the Light, who inspires others, who improves others. I want to be one who knows how to give and to receive.

Finance goals: I want to be financially free and not have to worry about any standard expenses like food, housing, etc. I would also like a house by the beach. I want to be able to have beautiful art work in my future home. I want to be able to have a library in my future home. I want to be able to have a recording studio in my future home. I want to be able to have an island in my kitchen in my future home. I want to be able to wear the types of clothes and colors that I want to wear some day. I want to be able to invest in other companies and individuals to empower others to flourish financially. I want to become a cryptonaut! I want to become a billionaire.

Mental goals: I want to be mentally strong in the face of adversity. I will not be defeatist, but I will also not shy from failure. I will trudge on when the going gets tough. I will say what I do, and do what I say. I will not take the easy way out. I will not be impulsive. I will breathe and think. I will not judge others.

Entertainment goals: I want to empower Asians and Asian Americans all around the world in the arts and entertainment industries. I want to create one of the greatest albums ever. I want to work with Chance the Rapper, I want to work with Kanye West. I want to work with Pharrell Williams. I want to help give voice to stories of people all around the world, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, nationality. I want to be able to golf, I want to be able to snowboard. I want to be able to attend UFC events.

Statement: With the grace of God, through discipline and vision, I will craft a life that provides love and value to not only myself but to hundreds of millions of people around the world!
