Cardano: A Next Generation Blockchain Platform

Cardano stands out because they are being built from the ground up and not a copy of ETH and its virtual machine with one or two tweaks like many other platforms. It will have improvements over ETH in areas such as scalability, sustainability, and interoperability.
Will it actually work or be adopted is the gamble.

#84

Wow! Looks like cardano can go to zero.

#85

Everything in this current market is heading to zero atm…

Except for Bitconneeeeect!!

#86

This but a scratch!
Cardano will be fine!

#87

That’s really vague. As far as I’m aware they’re not any more scalable, sustainable or interoperable than ethereum.
Being built from the ground up and not copying eth still doesn’t make it the most advanced blockchain ever.
This coin is a whitepaper only coin by definition.

#88

That’s true. We’re just gambling that Cardano will be the next big thing. If it succeeds, the price will go up quickly, so that’s why we buy in now and take the risk. And the platform is different enough from ETH to be an interesting competitor.

#89

The platform is still quite similar to ETH and traditional dapp platforms.

As for cardano succeeding - it may take years for things to get even somewhat built.

#90

Cardano has plenty of neat features which are different to ETH. These include it being designed in layers using Haskell language, designed to prevent hard forks, upgraded encryption algorithms, and peer reviews. They will no doubt take their sweet time to make a perfect running product. Slow and steady wins the race.

tl;dr?
ETH = kiddie programmers who will eventually hit a wall. Best known for creating a bunch of bitconnect ICOs.
ADA = academic PhD snobs who know what they are doing. They will still be around in 5 years.

Which one will big money trust?

Is nothing special or advanced. Just a small amount of new features added. This seems wayyy over hyped :joy:

ADA = academic PhD snobs who know what they are doing. They will still be around in 5 years.

This will be the same for every platform that can’t monitor and take away scams in a bull market in which a lot of inexperienced people are starting to invest. People can make scams on ADA as easily as on ETH when smart contracts are out. This argument goes against both coins lol

Those ‘kiddie’ programmers also included Charles at one point. Academic PhD snobs are a good thing, along with peer reviews I agree. But at this point, who doesn’t have a massive and experienced development team?

#92

Icx  :joy:

#93

Maybe this?

#94

Cardano’s blockchain takes 5 hours to reach finality. The most advanced form of PoS/ the most useful is Caspar PoS and/or DPoS BFT.

Ouroborus is literally just a less secure. extremely slow and possibly more centralized copy of DPoS.

Again most of the stuff you guys talk about with cardano isn’t great and just proves how over hyped it still is.

#95

In the end, only time can tell though…
Just as you said:

#96

In the end, only time can tell though…

cuz people don’t realize i’m as clueless as them

Facts speak for themselves. Cardano is the definition of a whitepaper shitcoin.

There’s always a chance something will succeed in the end. But blindly investing into something just because of that is a very bad investment plan lul

#97

Alright, based on your fact checking, would you mind sharing with us what coin do you think has a chance to succeed in the end?

#98

I can msg you it. I don’t think talking about other coins would be appreciated in cardano’s thread

#99

That’s how investing works. You invest early and take the risk for a moonshot. If Cardano was already up and running, it would be like $2 instead of 10 cents.

#100

I just checked with all of the other Cardano bros, and they said it was cool for you to reveal these coins.

#101

People don’t invest in companies they don’t think will succeed.Their tech is nothing special yet people call it a next generation blockchain platform. Ethereum is closer than Cardano to becoming a next generation platform.

#102

Clearly people do think it will succeed, otherwise it wouldn’t have a multi billion dollar market cap. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

You don’t see Cardano as anything special, however clearly we do. While you’re a skeptic, we instead have faith in Charles’ ability to turn whitepaper into an eventual reality. Sure we’re speculating on potential growth and development, but this entire space is speculation.

That’s all there really is to it. To each their own. Case closed.
