Trezor One Gets New Architecture And Ripple Support To Model T With Latest Updates

Trezor has recently announced a new update on its blog. According to the company, its Trezor One wallets will be updated soon by two firmware updates which will improve the security and the features presented in the products. Also, the Trezor Model T wallet will now be able to store XRP tokens, which is a feature that was awaited for a long time.

Firmware Update 1.8.0 For Trezor One

The first update was for the older Trezor One wallet. It improves the security of the wallet with several changes and it follows some developments which were originally only supported by the Model T wallet. The architecture of the new wallet is being also transported to this older model.

Another important new upgrade is that more ERC20 tokens will be compatible with the technology now and tokens like NIX, PIVX and Komodo are available. Now, developers from these coins will be able to integrate their wallets with Trezor One.

Firmware Update 2.1.0 For Trezor Model T

The major update for Trezor Model T is that now you will be able to store Ripple on it. This was being awaited by the community for a long time now and is currently available only on Beta Wallet, but the feature will be developed during the year.

Also, the wallet now contains several small upgrades like security improvements and allows the user to buy cryptos using a debit or credit card for users based in Europe.

About The Trezor One Wallet

This wallet was created by SatoshiLabs in 2014. It has become one of the most trusted hardware wallets in the market ever since because it offers security features for people who do not trust in keeping their assets without extra protection.

Trezor has released several new models of its wallets recently, including Trezor Model T, which is described by SatoshiLabs as a “next-gen hardware wallet” and has a better interface, as well as improved security for the users and a touchscreen.
