Hi there everyone,
I’m just wonder if anybody is noticing a high amount of Fee when transferring btc from one wallet to another.
I’m not sure if it’s the same with other bitcoin wallet providers but here in the Philippines we have “coins.ph” and the transfer fees before (before august) never went beyond 0.001. Mostly just 0.0005 or even less and i know that these fees vary over time but generally around that range only.
Today the fees charged per transfer have increased and has never gone below 0.001 and has even reached 0.003 +
These fees are relatively small if the btc transfers are big, (1 btc or more) but if you’re trading only in Satoshis and around that amount too, those fees are hurting!
So why is this happening and are we seeing more increase on fees in the future?
Any thoughts, thanks.

probably just exchanges getting greedy and taking advantage of BTC’s increasing popularity. If there is some technical reason for the increase then im unaware of it.

Free market will decide. Use it till u find a cheaper.
As much as I despise Rockefeller, he had a great idea on the free market: “raise prices and competition will arise.”
