crypto gambling breaking through in NL or staying fringe?

staying fringe, no question. KSA is way too strict and they actively go after unlicensed operators. just look at what they did to freebitco.in last yea, hit them with penalties for operating here without license
dutch government isnt gonna suddenly embrace crypto gambling when they barely tolerate regular online gambling

The regulatory framework makes mainstream adoption extremely unlikely in foreseeable future. KSA operates under Remote Gambling Act with active enforcement capability - demonstrated by recent FBC BV penalty case. Additionally, AML requirements supervised by DNB create compliance barriers for any operator attempting legitimate market entry. Furthermore, MiCA regulations at EU level are tightening crypto asset oversight, which paradoxically reduces the anonymity advantage that made crypto casinos appealing initially. When VASPs require full KYC, the value proposition diminishes significantly.
Crypto gambling in Netherlands will remain black-market activity served by Curaçao-licensed operators using VPN not sustainable for mass market.

harry speaking lawyer again lol
just say "no its illegal"

but how do they actually stop you? if you use vpn they cant tell right?
exactly @Angela, enforcement is mostly theater. they can fine operators but cant stop individuals from playing. worst case your bank blocks crypto purchases but like revolut works pretty fine

jeez you mean banks can see if you're buying crypto for gamblin?!
Banks can't directly see final use but can flag crypto exchange deposits as high-risk under AML protocols. If questioned, burden falls on you to demonstrate legitimate purpose. Many banks have internal policies restricting gambling-related transactions entirely. This is precisely the chokepoint - even if KSA cannot stop you directly, payment infrastructure creates friction that prevents mainstream adoption.

does anyone actually want it to be legal tho? like the whole point of crypto casinos is no kyc no limits, if it becomes legal that goes away no
