hey everyone, been lurking here for bit and finally decided to post. as ive been playing at regular online casinos for like 6 months now (mostly bet365 and some other uk sites) but keep seeing people talk about crypto casinos and how they're better for bonuses and withdrawals and stuff. problem is i dont really understand crypto at all lol

so few questions if anyone can help:
  1. do i need to own crypto already or can i just deposit with card like normal?
  2. are they actually legal? i keep seeing mixed info about this which makes me sweat a bit
  3. which ones are legit and not scam? i know this one should be first lol
  4. is it true withdrawals are way faster? all this lightning fast shit ihear allover
  5. do they have same games as regular casinos?
also im in UK so not sure if that matters for anything so any advice appreciated, just tell if its worth the hassle to learn all this stuff

Mate honestly if youre doing fine with regular casinos id say stick with what you know. Crypto casinos arent some magic solution everyone makes them out to be

that said:
1. most let you buy crypto on site with card but fees are ridiculous. better to use coinbase or kraken first then send it over
2. legal is complicated, theyre not illegal but not regulated same way. grey area
3. stick to known ones - stake, bc.game, rollbit. avoid anything dodgy or no history
4. yes withdrawals faster IF you know what youre doing. mess up a wallet address your moneys gone forever, no bank to call
5. yeah same providers mostly - pragmatic, evolution...

UK is tricky cause of UKGC being strict. crypto casinos dont have uk licenses so youre playing offshore

nah dont listen to goodoldfiat being all doom and gloom lol. crypto casinos are miles better once you get past learning curve. withdrawals in 5 mins vs 5 days? no brainer. for UK players crypto is actually better cause you skip all the gamstop bs and ridiculous verification. just need email basically
start with stake, biggest and most trusted. they have "buy crypto" button right on site so you dont even need wallets and technical stuff at first. also bonuses way better. got 200% deposit bonus last week, regular casinos never do that anymore

Seems like both have valid points. Crypto casinos have advantages (speed, privacy, bonuses) but also downsides (no protection, scams everywhere, volatile currency).
From Netherlands here, been using both types for years. My advice:
  • Start small. Deposit £20-50 worth first time to test
  • Use established sites only (Stake, BC.Game, Rollbit like goodoldfiat said)
  • Keep most funds in exchange (Coinbase), only send what you'll play with
  • Screenshot everything - no customer protection means you need proof if problems(and problems will be there trust me). Understand if casino closes your account, money might disappear
The "no verification" thing is temporary. Once you want to withdraw serious money (£2k+) they will ask for KYC anyway. Anyone saying otherwise is lying or hasn't won big yet

@goodoldfiat yeah the 5 day withdrawals are killing me, last time won £800 and had to wait almost a week!!
@cryptowine dat 200% bonus sounds yummi, what did you deposit to get it?
ok so stake seems to be the one everyone recommends. is bc.game good too or stick to stake for now? and one more thing if i deposit like £50, do i convert it to bitcoin first or they handle that?

stake handles conversion but check the rate first cause sometimes its not great at all. also fyi stake is banned in uk officially but everyone uses it with vpn. just dont tell them youre in uk when you sign up bro. been using it fo 2 years, never had withdrawal problem. usually get money in under 10 mins or so

whaaat?! you need vpn for stake in uk? i didnt know that!! and ive been looking at crypto casino too cause my bank keeps blocking deposits to bet365, so annoying. do banks block crypto purchases too or is that different?

thats what i mean about the problems. youre breaking thier terms by using vpn. if you win big they can refuse to pay you out. so many folks thought they're smart doing so and got busted

@Angela yes banks often block crypto purchases too, they flag them as high risk. revolut and monzo are usually ok with it though

@goodoldfiat always with the worst case scenarios lmao. millions of people use stake from restricted countries and get paid out fine. the vpn thing is not real issue unless youre doing something really dodgy
@Crypt-Erol i deposited like $100 to get that 200% but it was special promo. normal welcome bonus usually 100-150%, still way better than uk sites

spain has similar restrictions aas uk with licensed sites but crypto casinos saved my betting life honestly. i use bc.game mostly because stake requires vpn here too and i dont trust those
one thing nobody mentioned - crypto prices go up and down. if you deposit 100eu in bitcoin and price drops 5% before you play, you only have 95eu to play with. works both ways though, sometimes price goes up while youre playing

Good point. This is why some convert to stablecoins (USDT, USDC) which stay at $1. No volatility. So @Crypt-Erol if volatility concerns you, deposit in USDT instead of Bitcoin. Most crypto casinos accept both.

been reading you folks and honestly think OP should just try it instead of sittin here. make coinbase account, buy £50 bitcoin, send to stake, play some. youll figure it out in 20 mins. not rocket science. worst case you lose £50 and go back to bet365. best case you realize withdrawals in mins are amazing and never look back ;)

i tried stake and honestly wasnt impressed, site is confusing af compared to normal casinos, took me ages to find slots i wanted. also lost £200 in like 30 mins so that was mental lol
withdrawals were fast though, ill give them that. got my remaining £50 out in literally 3 minutes

lmao welcome to crypto casinos, speed is everything there why bother. theres no friction instant deposits, instant bets, instant losses 😂

set up coinbase last night and bought £50 bitcoin. holy shit the fees though?? cost me like £3.50 just to buy it, is that normal or did i do something wrong?
havent sent it to stake yet cause still not 100% about the vpn thing. goodoldfiat kinda scared me lol

yeah coinbase fees are brutal for small amounts. dont worry about vpn thing mate just use decent one i use nord. set it to canada or something. been doing it 3 years never had issue

im not trying to scare you im giving realistic picture. do what you want but dont say nobody warned you when something goes wrong
i still think if youre only depositing £50 the hassle isnt worth it. but each to their own

Fees are normal thing banking costs money you know. If you proceed better use VPN from beginning and be consistent. Always same country. Don't switch between UK and Canada randomly, that looks sus. and @goodoldfiat is right about one thing - there is real risk. Just go in with eyes open. Benefits exist but so do downsides.
