Gambling online is my guilty pleasure for years and honestly its getting harder to tell legit from scam these days. I mean new sites pop up every week with massive bonuses and slick designs but half of them disappear in 6 months
Soo what do you guys actually check before trying a new casino? license seems obvious but Ive seen scam sites with fake licences too

nah that's boring advice lol, sometimes new casinos have way better bonuses and promos
i check for curacao license usually, if they have that they're probably ok. also look at withdrawal reviews on reddit and here

@cryptowine - Curacao license meams almost nothing honestly. It's the easiest license to get and they barely regulate anything. I've seen multiple Curacao licensed casinos do selective scamming - they pay small withdrawals but block big winners. Better indicators:
  • How long they've been operating (1+ years minimum)
  • User reviews on independent forums like this one
  • Test withdrawal with small amount first
  • Check if they have actual customer support that responds
The license verification is good idea but don't trust it blindly. Some sites just photoshop license numbers.

than how do u verify license number i mean is there webste to check??
yeah you can check on the licensing authority website but honestly most people dont bother. like HarryvdV said its not reliable anyway
here in spain we have very strict rules, only licensed spanish casinos allowed but many people still use offshore ones with vpn. the offshore ones sometimes have issues with withdrawls when you win big amounts thats the main risk

if bonus is like 400% or 500% its probably scam as normal ones do 100% maybe 150% max
disagree, i've seen legit casinos do 200-300% bonuses for new players. its just marketing. the wagering requirements are usually insane anyway like 40x or 50x so youre not actually getting free money
the real red flag is when they make it difficult to withdraw. like asking for KYC documents multiple times or saying your documents aren't clear enough even though they are

another red flag imo is when customer support is only telegram or email no live chat legit casinos have 24/7 live chat usually cause they make enough money to afford proper support team if they only have telegram it means theyre running on shoestring budget and probably will disappear soon or cant handle any real volume of players also ive noticed scam casinos often have weird english on their terms and conditions page like clearly google translated from chinese or russian not always a scam but definitely sus when combined with other red flags you know what i mean like everything together paints a picture

this is helpful im trying to find new casino because my bank keeps blocking deposits to my current one

what about the ones that don't require kyc at all? are those more likely to be scams or is that actually better for privacy

Angela no kyc can be good or bad like:
Good = you have privacy and can withdraw quickly
Bad = if theres a dispute you have no recourse, they can just keep your money

Crypto casinos often don't require kyc until you withdraw larger amounts. then suddenly they ask for documents and some use it as excuse to delay or deny withdrawal
Safest approach is test with small amount first like 50 bucks, try to withdraw it, see how long it takes and if they ask for unreasonable documents

in indonesia all gambling is illegal so we can only use offshore casinos most don't have kyc which is good because we cant provide legal documents for gambling anyway
i use stake and bcgame for 2 years now never had withdrawal problem even with amounts over $3000 but i know people who tried random new casinos with big bonuses and got scammed casino just closed their account and kept the money
my advice is if casino is not discussed on forums like this one or reddit don't trust it scam casino don't last long so thay don 't build community presence

i got scammed by casino last year called something like "luckybitwin" or similar, they had nice website and 300% bonus:
deposited $200, played for a week, won up to $800. tried to withdraw and they asked for kyc which is normal. sent my documents, they said "under review" for 2 weeks. then they just closed my account and stopped responding to emails

when i checked later the whole website was gone lol. so yeah definitely test with small amounts first, i learned expensive lesson

another red flag imo is when customer support is only telegram or email no live chat legit casinos have 24/7 live chat usually cause they make enough money to afford proper support team if they only have telegram it means theyre running on shoestring budget and probably will disappear soon or cant handle any real volume of players also ive noticed scam casinos often have weird english on their terms and conditions page like clearly google translated from chinese or russian not always a scam but definitely sus when combined with other red flags you know what i mean like everything together paints a picture
This is actually good point. Professional casinos hire proper translators and legal team. If the terms and conditions are poorly written or have obvious translation errors, it shows they didn't invest properly in the platform.

ok but some legit casinos also have bad english lol doesn't automatically mean scam
i think the withdrawal test is the only real way to know. you can check all the licenses and reviews you want but until you actually try to withdraw money you don't know for sure

yep
deposit small play a bit try withdraw
if it works ur ok
if they delay or ask weird shit get out

so what is reasonable time for withdrawal? like if it takes 2-3 days is that normal or red flag?
Depends on payment method:
  • Crypto: Should be within hours, maximum 24 hours for first withdrawal
  • Bank transfer/card: 3-5 business days is normal
  • E-wallets: 1-2 days usually
If crypto withdrawal takes more than 48 hours without explanation, that's concerning. They might be stalling.
First withdrawal often takes longer because of verification, that's normal. But subsequent withdrawals should be faster.

ive had crypto withdrawals take 10 minutes on stake and bcgame, but on some smaller casinos it took 2-3 days even though its crypto. i think the smaller ones process manually instead of automatic
not necessarily scam but shows they don't have proper infrastructure

yeah manual processing is sketch..Means they don't have enough volume to justify automatic system or they're deliberately slowing withdrawals hoping you cancel and gamble it back
