SCAM ALERT! lost money to telegram "bonus bot"

i almost fell for the bc game clone once - signed up and played for like a week, won about $500 then tried to withdraw and they wanted $100 "verification fee"

that's when i googled it and found out it was fake as strippers tits

no i deposited $50 at the start and then "won" up to $500 which was obviously fake now that i think about it
the games probably weren't even real, just demos rigged to make you think you win smth
 
Stake officially warned about the fake bot back in February on their Twitter. They specifically said "Stake Bot" has no association with them.
The problem is scammers just create new bots with slightly different names. It's whack-a-mole.
 
been in this space since 2011 and telegram scams are the worst ive seen - at least with fake websites you can google them and find warnings. with telegram bots they disappear before anyone can even report them properly
 
ok i checked and the channels im following are the official ones with verification badges

but good to know not to trust any bots that dm me

curious did you end up paying the fee or did you stop there
 
the fact that so many people are sharing similar experiences in this thread shows how widespread these scams are
telegram needs to do better at moderating this crap
 
hate that this is ruining it for people who actually use telegram legitimately. icouldn get real bonus codes from official channels all the time, now im paranoid about everything
 
appreciate everyone sharing their experiences here! somehow that makes me feel less alone in falling for it and hopefully helps others to avoid it
